Beware! Make sure you have a backup of the registry and are 100% confident of the syntax of the entries before you change anything. If you mess up, your NT system may never boot again, and you will have to reinstall NT. Try to tweak the registry indirectly whenever you can through control panel/services, system policy editor, and other such utilities.

  • Value: NetLogon Key: Pulse
    Description:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetLogon\Parameters
    How often the NetLogon service checks for changes to the database and sends a pulse, or change notice, to the BDCs. Default is 5 minutes.

  • Value:NetLogon Key:PulseMaximum
    Description:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetLogon\Parameters
    How often the NetLogon service synchronizes with the BDCs (pulses), regardless of new changes to the database. Default is 2 hours..

  • Value: NetLogon Key:PulseConcurrency
    Description:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetLogon\Parameters
    The number of BDCs that the PDC sends pulses to concurrently. Default is 10.

  • Value: NetLogon Key:ReplicationGovernor
    Description:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetLogon\Parameters
    Limits how much bandwidth domain synchronization can take up. Default is 100%.

  • Value: Replicator Key:GuardTime
    Description:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Replicator \Parameters
    Sets amount of time the export folder must have no file changes before its files are replicated by the import servers. Default is 5 minutes.

  • Value: Replicator Key:Interval
    Description:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Replicator \Parameters
    Specifies how often an export server looks for changes in the replicator folders. Default is 2 minutes.

  • Value: Replicator Key:Pulse
    Description:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Replicator \Parameters
    Specifies the number of times that the import computer repeats the change notice after the initial announcement. Default is 2 times.
